Kathleen Van De Loo

President & CEO

Kathleen founded ADG in 1996 with the vision of providing nonprofit management and communications to organizations wanting to build a strong brand and identity and to actively engage members and donors.

Today, the company works with more than 50 nonprofit organizations including professional trade associations, charities, medical societies and foundations. ADG’s team of managers, creatives, and event and finance professionals offers clients a full range of management, project, consulting and creative services.

Before starting ADG, Kathleen spent more than a decade as communications director for two major legal lobbying firms in Albany, New York. She directed political campaigns and co-founded a countywide women’s political organization, the United Women’s Council.

Kathleen is deeply committed to giving back to her profession, her community and the world at large. She served two terms on the board of directors of the Empire State Society of Association Executives (ESSAE), oversaw the development of its groundbreaking Association Leadership Academy, and received the George C. Burton Award, ESSAE’s highest honor for contributions to the field of association management and communications.

Kathleen has also served on the boards of the Albany County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Emma Willard School and Catholic Charities Caregivers Respite Program and was an American Cancer Society VIP. She has done volunteer development work for St. Pius X Catholic School, the Susan Odell Taylor School for Children, the Women’s Fund, St. Francis Xavier Haitian Orphanage Foundation, and the South Sudan-based John Dau Foundation.

Kathleen and her husband, Joe, have three children, Emily, Jonathan and Justin, and a playful dog, Charlie.
